Friends,

Meet Kass Schmitt! She is about to take off (IN 2 WEEKS!) on the OSTAR (The Original Transatlantic Singlehanded Race) with the goal of becoming the first woman to win! I have not met Kass in person yet, but we have corresponded and connected on social media. She has graciously agreed to be a part of my documentary project about women solo offshore sailors, and I cannot wait to meet her in person for our interview! Our correspondence alone has shown me what a true badass she is! Kass is the perfect blend of graciousness, kindness and pure grit! I have no doubt that her race will be a success.
